It was unveiled July, 2007. It stands on the north end of the bridge, in
the upper peninsula. |

HENRY FORD II & WALTER P. REUTHER

Commissioned: 1997
Located: Detroit, MI
This commission to do a life-size bronze monument of Walter P. Reuther and
Henry Ford II shaking hands across a bargaining table was dedicated on
October 1st, 1997. It stands in the main lobby of the new UAW-Ford building
at the foot of Woodward Avenue in the heart of downtown Detroit. |

ORVILLE HUBBARD
Artist: Janice Trimpe
Commissioned: 1989
Located: Dearborn, MI
In the late 80's, Trimpe was commissioned to create a life-size bronze
statue of Dearborn, Mi. former Mayor Orville Hubbard. Due to time
limitations, Trimpe worked directly on the life-size sculpture without the
help of a maquette. This monument is located in front of Dearborn's City
Hall.

APPLE OF MY EYE

Commissioned: 1998
Located: Mount Clemens, MI
In September of 1998 Trimpe designed the monument called "Apple of my
Eye," two figures, a grandfather and his granddaughter, playing checkers
where the artist captures the proud love of the grandfather. This bronze
monument was installed in the spring of 2000 in Mount Clemens, MI. |

JOE LOUIS
Artist: Ed Hamilton
Commissioned: 1987
Located: Detroit, MI
Born Joseph Louis Barrow near Lafayette, Alabama. He became the heavyweight
boxing champion of the world defeating James Braddock in 1937. Louis was
best known for his defeat of the German Max Schmeling during the height of
the Nazi era. Louis was raised from the age of 12 in Detroit and because of
that fact this 14 foot bronze sculpture was erected in the Cobo Hall Lobby
to commemorate the brilliant boxing career of Detroit's own Joe Louis. |

THOMAS EDISON

Commissioned: 1993
Located: Port Huron, MI
Life-size bronze sculpture depicting the worlds most famous inventor Thomas
Alva Edison. Edison had over 1000 inventions, the most famous being the
electric light, phonograph and motion picture camera. Sculpted by Mino
Kramer, this exquisite monument is found on the shores of Lake Huron. |
